HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S DAY!

There is no special technique to collecting eggs. Just a little trickery. Andrea threw hard boiled eggs at John, while he caught them and dropped another egg into a basket placed in front of the camera. But we hope you enjoyed this April Fool’s Day video.

We collect our eggs just like most everyone else: carefully, one at a time. We have plenty of farm fresh eggs. If you are local and would like to get some, check out our INVENTORY page to order them one time or become a recurring egg customer.

Speaking of April Fool’s Day, some historians speculate that April Fools’ Day dates back to 1582, when France switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar. Some people were slow to get the news of the new calendar, and continued to celebrate the new year around April 1 instead of January 1. They became the target of jokes and hoaxes and were called “April Fools.” These pranks included having paper fish placed on their backs and being referred to as April fish, said to symbolize a young, easily caught fish and a gullible person. The tradition of pranks lives on today.

Good luck with your pranks. Or good luck not being the target of a prank!
