If you live near Happy Wife Acres and would like to earn free farm fresh eggs, then the Scraps for Eggs program is for you! You can also teach your children about recycling as they watch kitchen waste become food. The program is simple: you collect and bring us your kitchen scraps each week, and we give you a dozen farm fresh eggs. This is a recurring weekly commitment.
To be eligible, you must be able to fill a 5 gallon bucket nearly full of scraps each week, which is easy for average sized families that prepare meals at home. We will even provide the bucket! Chickens will eat almost everything you would normally throw away, like bread, vegetable peels, meat scraps, fruit, and those questionable leftovers in the refrigerator.
