In this workshop, you’ll be guided through the steps necessary to build a kit that can be used to hatch fertilized eggs, and keep the babies warm until they are ready to live with no heat. The $200 fee includes the instruction, all the equipment, tools, and supplies you’ll need, and tips to hatch and raise poultry. You will modify a storage tub to become a brooder. Do not worry about your skill level; you will receive the necessary guidance and assistance. At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home:

This workshop is very popular with educators and homeschool parents/cooperatives who want to teach embryology. We only offer this workshop once per year in early spring. The 2025 workshop will be held on Saturday, 29 March. You MUST sign up by 15 March so that supplies can be ordered.
There is a limit of 4 slots. You can bring someone with you, but there is one kit per paid attendee. If there is additional interest, we will organize a second workshop on 30 March.
If you want to skip the workshop, you can buy the finished hatch kit for $300. This option must be chosen by Sunday, 9 March. Purchased kits can be picked up on or after 28 March.
Included in the workshop or kit purchase is free fertilized eggs for life, as long as you return chicks that hatched. Otherwise you can buy fertilized eggs for $5 per 10 eggs.
